About the Race

The swim takes place from the beach on Water Street in the Town of Wolseley. The town itself has been settled around a small waterway and lake. The swim is in a freshwater body of water with marshals on shore, in kayaks on the course, and lifeguards monitoring the course. The course is scheduled to be a 375m rectangular course, with entry and exit from the beach on Water Street. One lap for Super Sprint, two laps for the Sprint Distance and four laps for Olympic distance (1500m).

The kids of steel swim will be a short course out and back.

The bike course for the Super Sprint, Sprint and Olympic distance races will take place on mixed surfaces, but the majority is on paved roads within town. The course will consist of a 4km loop starting at the beach transition area.

Athletes competing for provincial or national spots are welcome to use cyclecross, road, or mountain bikes.

Kids of Steel category bike will take place on paved town roads.

The run will take place on an out and back course, mostly composed of out-of-town gravel with a short section of pavement from the transition area.

There will be small sections of off-road material such as pathways and chute run from transition area where athletes will be allocated their transition space.

Athletes should plan for a mostly gravel run with short paved and trail sections.

Kids of Steel category distance is course
adjusted to reflect the category distance.
